Academic campus licenses are granted to degree-awarding institutions. This license allows access for an unlimited number of users at one campus; a campus in this regard includes all buildings associated to the university within one city. Access for this license is handled via IP authentication. The institution has to ensure that only members of the institution (employees and students) gain access to the database. The license is valid for one year, starting earliest with the date of the order.
Twice a year the server is updated with new data. Software updates might be more frequent.
ICSD Web is a host-based internet solution that offers its users both the flexibility of a browser-based interface and the functionality and efficiency of a graphical user interface. ICSD Web is developed and maintained by FIZ Karlsruhe in order to meet both the increasing requirements of the users and the requirements of modern software development. The user-friendly interface is easy to navigate with up-to-date features:

  • intuitive search interface
  • extensive classification in structure types, which are searchable based on descriptors defining each structure type
  • structure standardization for easier comparison with other structures
  • extended crystal structure visualization and analysis tools
  • powder pattern simulation with the possibility of enhanced manipulation
  • simple and powerful query management


Requirements:

  • Browser (Firefox or Internet Explorer recommended)
  • Java Runtime Environment JRE 1.6 (or higher)
  • Cookies, JavaScript and Java (for the visualization) must be enabled.
