FIZ AutoDoc: Changes in the German copyright law affect electronic delivery
07. January 2008
Because of changes in the German copyright law – effective as of 1 January 2008 – FIZ AutoDoc's German document suppliers will no longer be allowed to deliver full text documents electronically as PLAIN PDF files to corporate customers. Fax delivery and the delivery of print copies by mail will not be affected.
Electronic delivery via FIZ AutoDoc’s international suppliers (BLDSC, CISTI, INIST, RAPRA) is not affected and will substitute, if necessary, the bottleneck of the German suppliers in regard to electronic delivery. Also, FIZ AutoDoc’s Pay per Article service via the publishers ACS (starting in the 1st quarter of 2008), Karger, Springer, and Thieme will remain unchanged. So we will be able to continue providing you with an excellent service in 2008!
