Analysis of spinel compounds in ICSD

ICSD enables scientists to search for text in titles in combination with chemical compound information, e.g., compound classes which cannot be described through specific compound information such as the molecular formula. An interesting example for such a compound class is provided by the spinel compounds.

ICSD web version 3.6.0 released

18. May 2017

The ICSD web version 3.6.0 is now online.

Starting with this release the scope of the database is extended to include theoretical structures. In this release only theoretical structures are added so that we can make sure the new procedures work flawlessly. New experimental structures will be added with the next release.

We have introduced a content selection mechanism to ICSD Web that allows you to either search in “Experimental Structures Only” (default), “Theoretical Structures Only” or in “All Structures”. The search mask for experimental information changes according to the selection made.

There are also several new search fields like minimum distance search, formula weight, or keywords highlighting materials properties mentioned for this compound in the publication. A new export format - similar to the long view format in FindIt - was also added.
