Analysis of spinel compounds in ICSD

ICSD enables scientists to search for text in titles in combination with chemical compound information, e.g., compound classes which cannot be described through specific compound information such as the molecular formula. An interesting example for such a compound class is provided by the spinel compounds.

ICSD web version 3.3.0 released

25. November 2015

The ICSD web version 3.3.0 is now online.

In the past, ICSD Web used JMol for structure display. JMol uses Java, which is becoming an increasing problem to many users because of the increasing numbers of security alerts. Therefore we replaced JMol with JSmol, which uses HTML5 and works well on all modern web browsers.

The crystal structure visualization using JSMol is available after clicking on the "Interactive Visualization" button in the Detailed View.
